In our world today, billions of people aren't getting what they deserve. They're held down and held back by poverty, racial or gender bias, or economic systems that guarantee lots for some and little for others. The environment has become a justice issue--one-quarter of all preventable illness in the world is attributable to environmental degradation, and the World Health Organization says 160,000 people will die this year from the effects of global warming.
The Bible--and scriptures of all religions--call for believers to work for justice. There are lots of ways to go about it, from the way we spend our money to the aid we give our global neighbors to the influence we exert on government. Read on to find out more!
