NCP supports a Cofan community in the Ecuadorian Amazon and women in the Ixtahuacan region of Guatemala by offering them the chance to share their beautiful crafts while earning a living wage.
These colorful and useful shoulder bags are made in community-based weaving shops by Indigenous women, and sent to the USA by NCP friends Todd and Caty Bauer, who live in the Ixtahuacan region. Cofan Carry Bags
These mesh bags and small cases (phone size!) are made of sustainably harvested palm fiber and colored with natural dyes by the Cofan community along the Pisuri River in the Amazon region of Ecuador. NCP visits this community each year on our Amazon Learning Tour.
