The New Community Project is all about challenging people and groups to live more responsibly with our neighbors (people everywhere) and our neighborhood (God's earth). To do this, we need you!

Join the Band NCP invites you to make a commitment to living sustainably with the earth and fairly with our global neighbors by Joining the Band. Band members receive a wristband made by the Siona people of Ecuador of sustainable rainforest materials. Members also receive other special mailings and resources from NCP.

Young adults, get on our You asked for it... monthly alert list. This very-brief-but-very-informative monthly email includes a list of events and opportunities of interest to young adults, along with the ever-popular Justice Fact, Enviro Fact, and Faith Fact. Sign up online

• Sign up for Earth in Earnest (enviro e-newsletter) and As the World Turns (real-mail newsletter covering all NCP efforts) using the sign-up link at top right, as well as other periodic emails on topics ranging from gender justic to the rainforest

• Yes, we are! Search "New Community Project" on the social networking site Facebook, then join Facebook group for updates and photo albums

Solidarity Worker

• Volunteer for three months to a year or more with NCP partners in Africa, Asia, the Arctic, and Central and South America

Give Money

• We need your help to keep our little ship afloat. Send your contributions to NCP at 718 Wilder Street, Elgin, IL 60123. Gifts are tax deductible. See the How to Join page of our website.

• Check with your group about inviting someone from NCP to your church, youth event, school assembly, college convo--whatever. See the Human Resources page for a list of presenters and topics.

Want to be the NCP link to your congregation or group?

Responsibilities:

• pass on info from NCP related to our programs and initiatives
• encourage participation in our projects like Give a Girl a Chance (girls' education) or Grounds' Keepers (energy conservation program for congregations)
