We know it's not easy being a young person in a world like this. Think about it:
you've got more money in your hands than any generation of youth ever
you have beaucoup cool cars, cell phones, clothes and other consumables
your country rules the world
when you say "jump!" the corporations say "how high?"
What's so bad about this? Nothing. Unless you happen to be someone concerned about something besides yourself — and willing to think about what it's like to be someone who hasn't had it so good. Or if you're thinking about our planet, and the fact that every part of the ecosystem is struggling — and you realize that our lifestyles are a big part of the problem.
Want to do something about all this? That's what NCP is here for — giving young people like you the information they need to make the changes we all need.

About the upside down logo: From space there is no up or down to Planet Earth. When drawing the maps, the US and Europe are on top because . . . we draw the maps. The New Community Project believes it is time to begin looking at our world and its people in a new way -- not from above, but from beside or even below, after the example and teachings of Jesus. The early church was accused of "turning the world upside down" (Acts 17:6) for its radical way of doing things. It's time for people to begin saying that about us!
